Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori welcomed attendees at the 27th Ittihad Ramzan Iftar Dinner at the Governor House, emphasizing the significance of the 27th night of Ramadan.
He highlighted the day as a reminder of Pakistan’s creation, attributing it to the sacrifices made by elders, and stressed the importance of expressing gratitude to Allah for this blessing. April 10, 2023.
Governor Tessori highlighted his unwavering commitment to public service, ensuring that the Governor House remains accessible to all citizens without discrimination. He pledged to advocate for the oppressed and declared “Youm-e-Quds” as a day of solidarity with the Palestinian people and unity of the Muslim Ummah. Criticizing Israeli aggression, he accentuated that the injustices against innocent Palestinians are unacceptable, and Pakistan will persist in supporting their rights on all platforms.
The spiritually charged gathering saw the participation of thousands of citizens, including Thai Consul General Surashete Boontinand, Dr. Jamil Rathore, and a delegation from the Education Reporters Association led by its president, Syed Muhammad Askari. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafiz Muhammad Hanif from the Philippines, followed by the recitation of Asma-ul-Husna and Naat-e-Rasool Maqbool ? by Iranian Qaris.
A special Iftar lucky draw was also held, where Zohaib Ahmed won an Umrah ticket, Muhammad Saleem received a motorcycle, and Ghulam Muhammad was awarded a 120-square-yard plot. Additionally, under the previous lucky draw, Ghousia Shujaat and Khadija Bibi received their plot files.
