Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi convened with KASBIT Vice Chancellor Farhan Qazi at Governor House for comprehensive discussions on advancing the province”s educational landscape.
The meeting, which also saw the attendance of KASBIT’s Registrar and other senior officials, primarily focused on strategies for establishing new higher education institutions, fostering overall educational promotion, and elevating existing academic benchmarks, according to information today.
During the deliberations, the provincial chief executive reiterated robust government support for the education sector, underscoring that high-calibre instruction forms the indispensable bedrock of a progressive society.
A key outcome of the session was a mutual agreement to bolster cooperation between KASBIT and governmental authorities, aiming for enhanced collaborative initiatives.
Mr. Qazi, the Vice Chancellor, revealed that approximately 3,000 students are currently registered at KASBIT, with a significant 70 per cent benefitting from diverse scholarship programmes.
He further informed attendees that significant research activities are actively underway within the institution. He highlighted that KASBIT’s academic staff includes 15 doctorate-holding members, who play a pivotal role in boosting scholastic levels and ensuring academic excellence.
