Sindh govt utilizing all available resources to eradicate polio: home minister

Sindh Minister for Home, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, said on Thursday that achieving success in the fight against polio should be a national priority to ensure the safety of every child.

In a statement in connection with World Polio Day, Mr Lanjar said the Sindh government is utilizing all available resources to eradicate polio, so the parents should also play their due role in this campaign. The home minister stated that polio vaccination is the right of every child, and we must actively participate in this campaign to secure the future of our children.

The home minister assured that foolproof security would be provided to polio teams, allowing them to carry out their duties without fear. He further stated that the polio campaign would run from October 28 to November 3, and through this, we could protect future generations from disability.

Lanjar highlighted that the complete eradication of polio is a collective responsibility of society, and we must work together to root out this viral disease.

“The dream of a polio-free Pakistan, envisioned by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, can only be realized if everyone contributes to this cause,” Lanjar said. He applauded and saluted the medical staff of Sindh and across Pakistan for their dedicated services for polio eradication.
