Sindh Persons with Disabilities Protection Authority organizes one-day seminar in Nawabshah

In a significant move to strengthen democratic participation, Shaheed Benazirabad authorities today focused efforts at a seminar on ensuring electoral access for people with disabilities, a population that is often underrepresented in the polling process.

This initiative materialized through a dedicated one-day seminar, jointly organized by the Sindh Persons with Disabilities Protection Authority and ConnectHear. The event in Nawabshah saw the convergence of various departments and organizations, all committed to this vital cause.

A crucial component of the seminar was an awareness stall established by Muhammad Yousif Majeedano, the District Election Commissioner for Shaheed Benazirabad. This stall specifically aimed to inform and engage individuals with disabilities regarding their rights and processes for electoral involvement.

Details regarding the seminar and the emphasis on voter accessibility were officially disseminated by the Election Commission of Pakistan through their X platform.
