Sindh Police beat Mesol Solar in Karachi Wing 999 Inter-Departmental Cricket Tournament

In the ongoing Wing 999 Inter-Departmental Cricket League Tournament, organized by the Regional Cricket Association Karachi in collaboration with Wing 999 Sports, Sindh Police defeated Mesol Solar by 30 runs yesterday.

Even Aish Malik’s brilliant unbeaten century could not save Mesol Solar from a 30-run defeat against Sindh Police. This high-scoring match was played on Wednesday in connection with the Wing 999 Inter-Departmental Cricket League Tournament.

At the CAA Stadium, opting to bat first, Sindh Police set a strong total of 290 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 40 overs. The highlight of the innings was Shahzad Khan’s brilliant knock of 91 runs, which included 11 fours and a six.

Zohaib Abid with 63 runs and Farooq Hasan with an aggressive 45 runs provided significant support. Contributions from Noman Khan (26) and Ejaz Swati (21 not out) further strengthened the total. For Mesol Solar, medium-pacer Abdullah Danish bowled brilliantly, taking four wickets for 26 runs.

In pursuit of the target, Mesol Solar could only manage 260 runs for the loss of eight wickets, despite a brilliant individual effort from Aish Malik. He played an unbeaten innings of 110 runs with the help of six fours and three sixes. Abdullah Javed also scored a half-century with 51 runs.

However, Sindh Police’s disciplined bowling thwarted the chase. Right-arm leg-spinner Farooq Hasan showcased his brilliant all-round performance by taking four wickets for 43 runs, while Affan Ahmed also took two wickets for the same number of runs.

This tournament is organized by the Regional Cricket Association Karachi in collaboration with Wing 999 Sports.
