Sindh is set to host the 35th National Games after a long gap of 18 years, with a large contingent of 11,000 participants competing.
The major sporting event will be held from December 6 to December 13. “It is a moment of great pride for us that Sindh is hosting the National Games after such a long time,” announced Sindh’s Sports Minister, Sardar Muhammad Bux Mahar, today.
According to the minister, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will attend the closing ceremony on December 13.
The official stated that an inaugural musical program will be held at the National Stadium Karachi on December 6 from 6 PM to 9 PM.
Sardar Muhammad Bux Mahar also appealed, “The people of Sindh should participate in this event and make it a success.”
The minister expressed best wishes for the athletes of the host province, recalling that Sindh had secured the first position in the last National Games held in Balochistan. He said, “Hopefully, our youth from Sindh will be number one this time as well.”
