Sports Fundamental To Youth Development, Not Just Extracurricular, Says Federal Secretary

Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry, has underscored that sports are fundamental to the comprehensive development of young people and should not be considered merely an extracurricular pursuit.

Speaking as the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony of the Annual Sports Gala at Government Gordon College Rawalpindi today, he articulated that athletic participation is vital for building physical health, discipline, teamwork, and a resilient competitive spirit among students.

During the function, Barrister Chaudhry awarded shields and trophies to the student athletes who had excelled in a variety of competitions held during the gala.

He commended the college”s administration and its sports committee for the successful organisation of the event, highlighting the importance of such activities.

The parliamentary secretary concluded that the integration of academics and athletics is essential in shaping the well-rounded individuals who will ultimately lead the nation in the future.
