Citizens facing land encroachment issues brought their grievances directly to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Operations, Qazi Ali Raza, during a public hearing, prompting the official to order immediate legal proceedings on the matter.
According to a police report today, the open court was conducted at the SSP”s office under an “open door policy,” following special directives from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, to ensure the prompt redressal of residents” problems.
During the session, SSP Operations attentively listened to the concerns presented by individuals, which also included other unspecified issues. He issued directives to the relevant officers to take legal action on the marked applications within a designated timeframe and to submit a follow-up report.
On the occasion, the SSP for Operations stated that providing maximum relief to the public is a top priority for the capital”s police force and that the supremacy of the law will be ensured at all costs.
He further emphasized that every citizen has equal rights and that all applications will be decided on merit. The protection of citizens’ lives, property, and dignity is of utmost importance, the official added.
The SSP also highlighted that the Islamabad Police follows a zero-tolerance policy regarding violence against women and children.
