SSP Quetta vows to stamp out drugs menace

QUETTA: Abdul Haq Umrani, SSP (Operation), Quetta, has said that in order to maintain law and order situation in the province, particularly in Quetta, besides other steps to be taken, it was also inevitable to control the use of drugs.

These views were expressed by him during visit to “Right Way Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre, Quetta” here on Friday. Praising the services of Right Way Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre for providing treatment and rehabilitation services to drug addicts, he said that public-private partnership was indispensable to root out the menace of drugs. Umrani said that concrete measures would be adopted to control the use of drugs, adding that drug addicts were often being used by miscreants for unlawful acts.

Fazal Muhammad Nurzai, Founder, Right Way Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre gave detailed briefing to Abdul Haq Umrani, SSP, Operation, Quetta about the performance of RDT and RC, Quetta. On the occasion, Mirwais Khan Kharoti, Admn Officer, Right Way Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre and others were also present.
