Residents confronting issues of land encroachment and other pressing matters brought their grievances directly to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Operations, Qazi Ali Raza, during a public forum held at his office, prompting immediate directives for legal proceedings.
The open court was convened under an “open door policy” following specific instructions from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at ensuring the prompt redressal of public complaints, according to a police report today.
SSP Raza attentively considered the concerns presented by attendees and instructed the relevant officers to initiate legal action on the marked applications. He mandated that the actions be completed within a specified timeline and a corresponding report be submitted for review.
During the session, the SSP for Operations affirmed that the Islamabad Police maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards violence against women and children. He stated that delivering the maximum possible relief to the public remains a primary objective and that the supremacy of the law will be upheld at all costs.
He further emphasised that every citizen possesses equal rights and that all applications would be processed strictly on merit. The protection of citizens’ lives, property, and dignity is of the utmost importance, he added.
