State repression compels IoK youth to take extreme steps: TWI

Srinagar, June 13, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami (TWI) has said that as a consequence of the ever increasing Indian repression the Kashmiri youth are forced to avenge the unabated and indiscriminate killings of their dear ones at the hands of occupational forces.

In a statement issued in Srinagar, today, the TWI spokesman said that the Wednesday attack on KP Road in Islamabad district in which 6 Indian paramilitary troops were killed and many injured should be seen in the backdrop of Indian state terrorism that the Kashmiri people have been enduring every day since last over 7 decades.

Stating that the Kashmiri people are engaged in a peaceful struggle to attain their inalienable right to self-determination, he lamented that India instead of giving the Kashmiris their birth right has adopted an iron-fist policy on permanent basis aimed at killing, arresting, maiming and blinding people besides destroying their properties.

He said that despite facing Indian brutalities the Kashmiri people would continue their just and indigenous movement with patience, perseverance and persistence till the accomplishment of the goal of freedom from Indian clutches, resolving that India would never succeed in misleading the global community by equating the Kashmiris’ genuine movement for self-determination with terrorism.
