Strengthening Pak-Afghan trade ties to ensure bright future for next generation: NA Speaker

Islamabad, November 24, 2020 (PPI-OT):Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser says further removing trade bottlenecks between Pakistan and Afghanistan would ensure bright future for our next generation. He was chairing the 5th meeting of Executive Committee of Pak-Afghan Parliamentary Friendship Group in Islamabad. The Speaker said implementation of the recommendations of the recent conference on finding new avenues of trade and investment between Pakistan and Afghanistan is the top priority of the Executive Committee.

He said on the recommendation of the Committee, Torkham border is now open seven days a week for pedestrians instead of four days. The Speaker asked Adviser on Commerce to pursue the negotiation on Afghan Pakistan Preferential Trade Agreement on fast pace so that the trade activities could take place more vigorously.
