According to Senior Traffic Officer (STO) Munir Ahmed Hashmi, traffic authorities are taking strict action against vehicles with tinted glass and without number plates to make security more effective for Easter celebrations.
STO Hashmi confirmed today that special arrangements have been made to regulate traffic flow around churches and public parks, where a large number of visitors are expected.
This measure is part of a comprehensive security plan under which more than 100 traffic police personnel have been deployed across the city for the religious festival.
“The traffic police are working in coordination with the district police to ensure security,” said Mr. Hashmi while inspecting duty arrangements during his visit to various churches.
The senior officer directed all deployed staff to perform their duties with diligence and effective teamwork.
“We must provide the best facilities to the public during our duty,” he stressed, stating the primary objective of the Easter deployment.
