Striving to make Azad Kashmir a modern, educated state: Pakistan Muslim League (N)

The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (N) is launching a significant educational program in Azad Kashmir, aimed at establishing free, high-quality Danish schools and a university to support talented students from low-income backgrounds.

PML-N leader and Member of the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Sardar Aamir Altaf Khan, said on Sunday that the party is taking concrete steps to make Azad Kashmir a modern and developed state. He described education as the foundation of national progress and the top priority of the political organization.

Khan explained that the Danish Schools project, announced by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, is designed to provide opportunities to intelligent children who are deprived of quality education due to financial constraints. He termed the initiative a major breakthrough for the people of Kashmir.

According to reports, the curriculum in these institutions will be modern, with a strong focus on comprehensive training, character building, discipline, and the promotion of national and moral values to produce responsible citizens.

According to Khan, the establishment of these schools will enable children from remote, mountainous, and underdeveloped areas of Azad Kashmir to access quality education at no cost. He said this would help reduce class disparity and ensure more equitable opportunities in the education sector.

The PML-N leader also welcomed the proposed establishment of a Danish University in the state, calling it a milestone for higher education. He predicted that the university would provide local students with access to world-class academic programs, eliminating the need for them to relocate to other cities or provinces for their studies.

Khan said this would significantly reduce the educational expenses of families and provide a valuable opportunity for students who cannot currently afford university fees.

He concluded by reiterating that the party is committed to delivering development, health services, employment, and basic facilities in Azad Kashmir, emphasizing that the PML-N’s focus is on practical actions rather than mere announcements. He cited the party’s track record in Pakistan, particularly in Punjab, as evidence of its developmental approach.
