QUETTA: Different Students Organizations on Saturday protested against entry test prescribed for admission in the University of Balochistan. Police arrested more than two dozen students, staging protest sit-in on Sariab Road against Lathi charge of police on protesting students.
According to detail, protest was staged against entry test for admission in the University of Balochistan. To disperse students, police resorted to lathi charge and detained more than two dozen students. Enraged students later staged a protest sit-in on Sariab Road against entry test, blocking Quetta-Karachi highway for all kinds of traffic.
Talking to media, representatives of students organizations said that a similar entry test had been prepared for admission in professional and non-professional departments of the university. They said that Vice Chancellor, University of Balochistan was not taking the matter seriously.
