Accusing the provincial minister of their “economic murder,” successful candidates for teaching positions protested in the city against the non-issuance of official appointment letters.
The protest, held in front of the Khairpur Press Club on Wednesday, was led by several organizers including Ayaz Magsi, Shaukat Solangi, Ata-ur-Rehman Sheikh, and Majid Ali Peeral.
The protestors stated that despite passing the IBA-administered test with more than 40 marks and a significant amount of time having passed, they have not been given job orders.
The successful candidates claimed that while their legitimate appointments are being withheld, offer letters have been distributed across Sindh based on fake qualifications.
The protesters specifically blamed the provincial education minister, stating that he has deprived them of their rights by providing only “false assurances” regarding employment.
The rally participants said that their campaign for justice is ongoing, but government officials are ignoring their pleas.
In a direct appeal, the candidates have demanded the Chief Minister of Sindh to intervene in the matter and resolve the uncertainty faced by the candidates by ensuring the immediate issuance of offer letters.
The protesters concluded by warning that if their demands are not met, they are prepared to expand their protest actions.
