Srinagar, March 12, 2020 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, illegally detained Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Islami Tanzeem Azadi, Abdul Samad Inqilabi, was presented before a TADA court in Srinagar via video conferencing in a false case registered against him.
The Islami Tanzeem Azadi General Secretary, Sheikh Abrar Ahmed, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that ailing party Chairman, lodged in Srinagar Central Jail, was to be presented in Kupwara court on March 10, but instead he was presented to the TADA court in Srinagar via video conferencing on March 11 in an old false case. He said that the TADA court adjourned the hearing of the case till March 31.
Sheikh Abrar Ahmed said that Abdul Samad Inqilabi was not being presented to the court of District and Sessions Judge, Kupwara, just to prolong his illegal detention. He said that delaying tactics had been used since December 18, 2019, regarding the production of the party Chairman in the court, which is highly condemnable.
He appealed to the international human rights organizations to take notice of illegally detained Kashmiris including leaders and activists. He said that Abdul Samad Inqilabi was arrested from Dogri Pura area of Pulwama district in December, 2018, where he had gone to express solidarity with the family of a martyred youth.
