LAHORE:On the order of the Lahore High Court (LHC), terrorism-related sections were dropped from PML-N leader Bilal Yasin attack case on Tuesday. The suspects namely Mian Haseeb Vicky, Asad Hamid, Hamid Mehmood, Mohsin Manzoor, Majid, Kashif alias Kashi and others had moved the LHC against the insertion of these sections in the case. In pursuance of the LHC’s order, Justice Abhar Gul Khan of the anti-terrorism court (ATC) also ordered transfer of the case to session’s court. Malik Ishrat Advocate represented suspects in the case.
Bilal had sustained injuries in a gun attack carried out by unidentified assailants in Lahore on December 31, 2021. He was immediately shifted to Lahore’s Mayo Hospital. The medical superintendent (MS) of the hospital told the media that Bilal had received two bullets in the stomach and another on his leg which fractured the bone. It was learnt that the lawmaker had gone to meet a party worker when he came under attack near Data Darbar.
