Thatta police and rescue staff saved the life of a young man from drowning in Keenjhar Lake

Timely intervention by Thatta police and rescue staff averted a potential tragedy at Keenjhar Lake today when a young man was saved from drowning.

The incident occurred when a group from Karachi, on a recreational trip, engaged in swimming activities at the picturesque lake. During this, Hafiz Jawad, a 25-year-old resident of Karachi’s Lalu Khet area, got into trouble after venturing into deep water.

Upon receiving the emergency alert, Keenjhar police promptly sprang into action and conducted a highly effective rescue operation. Their swift and expert response ensured that Jawad was safely pulled out of the water, reducing the threat to his life.

After the rescue, Jawad was given immediate medical assistance. He was later transferred to Civil Hospital for further examination and treatment. Medical experts have confirmed that his condition is stable and no longer life-threatening.

This incident highlights the crucial role of emergency services and their ability to respond effectively in critical situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens engaged in recreational activities.
