Thatta police today claimed to have arrested 16 criminals, including 14 drug dealers, in different raids.
According to a police report, the police conducted raids in several areas, including Makli, Dhabeji, Jhirk, Keti Bandar, Sakro, and Gharo. These operations were part of a broader campaign aimed at eradicating narcotics, habitual offenders, and other criminal activities in Thatta district.
During the operations, the police recovered 342 bags of homemade liquor, a pistol, and a revolver. Separate cases have been registered against the suspects under the Narcotics Act and Sindh Arms Act at the relevant police stations.
The arrested drug dealers include Jamshed, Zahid Hussain Ansari, Mansoor Khan, Qadir, Muhammad Khaskheli, Tayyab Khoso, Salahuddin, Ramzan Mirbahar, Ajmal, Saeed Sheikh, Nadeem Umrani, Nizamuddin, Abdul Majeed, Saleh Mallah, Saddam Memon, and Umeed Ali.
The police report said the campaign was aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the region. The operations would continue in the coming weeks to eliminate criminal activities and safeguard the community, the report said.
