Representing Punjab White, the Masters Karate National Heroes achieved a remarkable success at the 33rd National Tenshin Kan Shoto Kan Karate Championship, winning a total of 19 medals for the district of Okara.
The team’s medal haul at the closing ceremony on Wednesday included six gold, eight silver, and five bronze medals, a notable achievement in the competition. The national tournament, which also featured the Javed Noor Champions Trophy, was recently held in Lahore and saw participation from teams across Pakistan.
The Masters team athletes showcased their outstanding skills during the event, securing gold medals in all categories to ensure their prominent position in the final standings.
In recognition of their success, the Civil Defence department organized a ceremony to encourage the players. During the event, the department awarded the team members with honorary memberships and certificates of appreciation.
Civil Defence Officer Javed Akhtar distributed the certificates among the players. The team’s instructors, Naeem Akhtar and Wasim Tariq, were also lauded for their role in the successful campaign. A formal luncheon was arranged in honor of the players.
The team’s achievement was commended by political and social circles in the region, who praised the players for bringing honor to the district of Okara at the national level.
