The only solution to the problems of the Muslim Ummah is unity: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan

Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan’s Naib Ameer, Liaqat Baloch, has accused the United States of “deception” through peace initiatives, claiming that the recent US attack on Iran was a direct result of “Israeli blackmailing.”

Speaking at an Eid Milan party organized by the party’s local chapter today, Liaqat Baloch stated that the US-led peace summits held under the so-called “Board of Peace” at the behest of Donald Trump were a sham. He asserted that American assurances have lost all credibility and Washington’s true attitude towards the Muslim world has been fully exposed.

According to the Jamaat-e-Islami leader, the military action against Iran was a consequence of the US succumbing to Zionist influence, which he claimed was leading to a decline in American politics and leadership. He argued that Iran’s only “fault” was adhering to its system for decades, refusing to bow to colonialism, and supporting the Palestinians.

Liaqat Baloch urged Muslim countries to abandon such diplomatic pretenses and strengthen their unity. He said that the US and Israel had expected that targeting Iran’s leadership would incite public unrest and bring about a change of government, but this objective could not be achieved as Iran demonstrated its resistance against external pressure.

He called on the Muslim world to unite and provide practical support to the oppressed Muslims of Palestine, Kashmir, and Gaza, stressing the need to abandon reliance on external powers. For regional stability, he deemed strong relations between Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan as essential.

Discussing internal affairs, Liaqat Baloch described Pakistan as being in the grip of a political crisis where democratic institutions are weakening. He called for respecting the people’s mandate through transparent elections, as well as ensuring the supremacy of the constitution and the independence of the judiciary.

He expressed deep concern over the situation in Sindh, particularly Mirpurkhas Division, where, according to him, residents are deprived of basic facilities. He highlighted severe problems of sanitation, drainage, education, and health, which he claimed were exacerbated by widespread corruption.

Addressing the event, Provincial General Secretary Muhammad Yusuf commented on the changing political dynamics of urban Sindh. He referred to the decline of a party that once dominated through an “era of oppression, extortion, and lawlessness,” claiming it now survives on “artificial support.” He predicted that Jamaat-e-Islami would emerge as a major political force in the province.

Other speakers, including Muhammad Afzal, Hafiz Salman Khalid, Shakeel Ahmed Faheem, and Zafar Iqbal, also addressed the gathering and reiterated their commitment to unity, public service, and solving local issues.
