Islamabad, November 27, 2019 (PPI-OT): “This government will ensure that the problem of illegal immigration gets completely eliminated” says Interior Minister Brig (R) Ijaz Ahmad Shah. We will take all possible measures at our end to overcome this issue. Said the Minister during meeting a 6 member delegation led by Italian Under Secretary Mr Manilo Di Stefano. Italian delegation congratulated the Interior Minister on improved security station and upgrading of capital Islamabad as a family station.
Matters of mutual concerns and proposals to improve Pakistan-Italy ties were brought under discussion. “We have a number of Pakistanis living and working in Italy, they are contributing positively to the economic progress there” said the Interior Minister. The Italian Under Secretary showed complete satisfaction over facilitation and support provided by Pakistan to them and added that their people in Islamabad are content.
The matter of illegal immigrants was brought under discussion, to which the Interior Minister responded by saying that this government will take all possible actions to eradicate this menace. The Italian delegation seemed affirmative that there has been a decline in such matters and also said that in order to solve this problem completely, they are ready to provide maximum possible support to the government of Pakistan. Interior Minister thanked them for their proposal and meeting concluded with a promise that both countries will move in a positive direction to further strengthen the ties and areas of mutual cooperation.
