Srinagar, June 15, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of mourners, today, attended the funeral of senior journalist and Chief Editor of English daily “Rising Kashmir” Shujaat Bukhari in Baramulla district. Thousands of people belonging to all walks of life assembled in Shujaat Bukhari’s ancestral hometown of Kreeri in the district and participated in his funeral.
Meanwhile, funeral prayers in absentia for the slain journalist were also held at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar and other areas of the occupied territory. Shujaat Bukhari was shot dead by unidentified gunmen outside his office at the Press Enclave in Srinagar, last evening.
