Over 2,700 graduates converged with 205 industrial partners at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Job Fair 2025, an initiative aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry and addressing the region”s employment needs.
According to UET information today, the event, held at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar, was organized by the Higher Education Department of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as part of its Good Governance Roadmap. The fair provided a platform to foster employment, entrepreneurship, and collaboration between educational institutions and the industrial sector.
Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, attended as the chief guest. The gathering also included notable figures such as Kamran Ahmed Afridi, the Secretary of Higher Education for KP, and His Excellency Ali BanafshehKhah, the Consul General of Iran in Peshawar.
A significant contingent of academic leadership was present, including GIKI Rector Prof. Dr. Fazal A. Khalid and Vice Chancellors from leading universities across the province. The academic leaders collectively emphasized the critical importance of strengthening industry-academia linkages and empowering the youth.
