Three dead as avalanche hits Pahalgam

Srinagar,
February 02, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, three persons died after they
were swept away along with a bulldozer they were in when an avalanche hit
Pahalgam-Aru road. A bulldozer that was in the area to clear the road up to Aru
village came under an avalanche. The bulldozer plunged into a deep gorge along
with three persons of which two died on the spot while the third one expired
when he was being shifted to a hospital.

Meanwhile,
a 12-year-old was among two boys injured when a live shell they picked up from
the Drabgam operation site exploded in their hand. The boys were identified as
Sharafat Bashir, 12, and Junaid Bilal, both residents of Rahmoo village in
Pulwama.

A
bullet-riddled dead body of woman was found in Draggad area of Shopian
district. On the other hand, an Indian soldier was injured when some
unidentified person hurled a grenade on a patrolling party of Central Reserve
Police Force in Namtehaal area of Badgam district.
