Thunderstorms predicted in Balochistan, dry weather expected across the country

The Regional Meteorological Center announced on Monday that strong, gusty winds are likely to blow in the southern districts of Balochistan during the next two days, even as the weather is likely to remain dry in most areas of the province.

The forecast for the immediate 24 hours suggests that while most of the province will remain dry, isolated areas including Quetta, Mastung, Kalat, and Surab may receive drizzle or light rain. Partly cloudy skies are probable in the northern and western districts, with hot conditions expected in the province”s plain areas.

A synoptic report issued by the weather office confirmed that continental air is currently prevailing over most of Balochistan. The 48-hour outlook indicates that these predominantly dry conditions will persist, with the strong winds in the southern regions expected to continue throughout the period.

Reviewing the past 24 hours, the meteorological department reported no rainfall across the province. Minimum temperatures varied significantly, with Kalat recording the lowest at 7.0°C and Quetta at 8.5°C. In contrast, Turbat registered the highest minimum temperature at 22.5°C.
