LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore on Friday acquitted Naib Ameer of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Pir Syed Zaheerul Hassan Shah in hate speech case.
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) had registered a case against him in 2021. Pronouncing the verdict, ATC Judge Ijaz Ahmad Buttar said the prosecution had failed to prove the charges framed against him. Malik Iftikhar Ahmad Awan and Shahzad Bhatti Advocate gave arguments on behalf of TLP Naib Ameer Pir Zaheer.
