Top Cop Demands Effective Action Against Capital’s Criminal Elements

In response to prevailing security concerns, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, today mandated senior officers to intensify efforts and employ all available resources to safeguard citizens’ lives and property.

The directive came during a high-level meeting focused on bolstering the capital”s security and crime prevention strategies.

The high-level conference, attended by SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza and SP Security/Administration Salman Zafar, involved a comprehensive review of existing operational strategies, the progress of criminal investigations, and overall police performance. Administrative matters and current security measures were also scrutinised.

IGP Rizvi specifically instructed the officials to ensure that legal actions taken against active criminal syndicates are both effective and result-oriented. He further stressed the importance of efficient resource utilisation to enhance both administrative and operational outcomes.

In a separate development, the Central Police Office earlier hosted a delegation of police officers undergoing training at the Civil Services Academy in Lahore. The visiting group had an audience with IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

During the visit, the trainees received a detailed briefing from DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq and DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar. The presentation highlighted the significance and efficacy of the capital police”s public service initiatives, improved service delivery mechanisms, and modernised policing systems.

To commemorate the occasion, IGP Rizvi, alongside DIG Islamabad and SP Headquarters Pari Gul Tareen, presented commemorative shields to the members of the visiting delegation.
