Islamabad, December 12, 2018 (PPI-OT): Professor John Wright of Bradford University and Professor Dr. Atif ur Rehman of Liverpool University, UK called on Federal Minister for National Health Services Aamer Mehmood Kiani here today. The delegation shared with Minister that Bradford University in collaboration with Pakistan’s Health Ministry has undertaking birth Cohort study in Pakistan.
This study will cover nutrition, mental health and non-communicable diseases with aim to ascertain challenges to keep these diseases in check. Talking to delegation, Minister said that in accordance with vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, health has being accorded top priority. Minister appreciated the delegation for undertaking the study which was the first of its kind initiative such a large scale. He said that such research was being increasingly used world over for informing policy.
