QUETTA: Transporters called off strike on Saturday after successful parleys held with Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bughti.
According to detail, a delegation of transporters called on Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfaraz Bugti at Chief Minister’s Secretariat. During the course of discussion, the Chief Minister Balochistan assured the delegation that genuine demands of the transporters would be met.
Later on, the transporters called off strike on the highways of the province. It is pertinent to mention here that the transporters of Balochistan had announced blocking national highways of the province against the establishment of additional check posts of security forces on different highways of the province and SOPs issued by the authorities for the transporters of Rakhshan Division.
