Turkmenistan ambassador calls on CM Maryam

Turkmenistan Ambassador Atadjan Nurlyevich Movlamov called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday in Lahore to discuss bolstering investment and trade between their regions.

The discussions emphasized the mutual interest in strengthening economic cooperation between Punjab and Turkmenistan. Ambassador Movlamov expressed his country’s keenness to enhance trade relations with Punjab.

CM Maryam reaffirmed the strong historical ties between Turkmenistan and Pakistan, describing Turkmenistan as a brotherly nation. She highlighted the vast investment opportunities in Punjab’s energy, industry, livestock, and agriculture sectors.

The Chief Minister also underscored the potential for increasing trade volume between Punjab and Turkmenistan, particularly in sectors such as textiles and pharmaceuticals. The meeting reflects a concerted effort to deepen economic collaboration between Turkmenistan and Punjab, with a focus on exploring new avenues for trade and investment.
