Two people were injured in different firing incidents in the metropolis on Sunday.
According to rescue sources, a 32-year-old man, Muhammad Owais, son of Muhammad Ashfaq, was injured in a firing incident near Khair Muhammad Goth along Northern Bypass in Surjani area of Karachi.
He was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment. The motive behind the firing could not be ascertained till filing this report.
Separately, a man was critically injured after shooting himself at his residence at Landhi Hospital Chowrangi.
The injured, identified as 30-year-old Salman, was rushed to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.
The cause of the incident is yet to be confirmed, however, the police have started an investigation into the incident.
