LARKANA: Two children including a 2-year girl were injured when stray dogs bit them outside their home in and around Larkana on Saturday. Both the injured were rushed to the ARV Dog Bite Treatment Centre of the Chandka Medical College Hospital where doctors dressed their wounds and administered anti-rabies vaccine to prevent rabies infection. Little girl Fatima was bitten in the face.
The injured include 2-year Fatima daughter of Irshad Jagirani, resident of Sachay Bux Jagirani village and 7-year Ali Bux son of Aijaz Siyal, resident of Noor Muhammad Khoso village, located near Larkana.
The parents of the dog bite victims said that the menace of stray dogs in the towns and villages has not yet been eliminated as their prey is usually aged men, women and children for which relevant authorities should be taken to task. The injured were allowed to go home after necessary vaccination and medical treatment.
