Srinagar, March 04, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, multiple rounds of funeral prayers were held for a martyred youth, Ishfaq Majeed Mir, in Sopore area of Baramulla district, today. Thousands of people attended the funeral several times to accommodate the huge rush of mourners coming from different parts of Sopore, Zainageer, Rafiabad and Handwara areas.
The mourners raised pro-Pakistan and pro-freedom slogans as they marched with the body of the martyr for burial. He was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard at Brath Kalan in the area. Ishfaq Majeed Mir and two other youth were martyred by Indian troops during a cordon a search operation in Babagund area of Handwara. Five Indian troops were killed in an attack during 60-hour long operation in the same area.
