UET Approves Over PKR 2.5 Million in Staff Welfare Funds for Medical and Marriage Aid

The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has authorised financial aid exceeding PKR 2.5 million for its personnel, designated for medical treatments and family marriage expenses, according to a press release.

The welfare package includes a significant allocation of PKR 1,993,000 to assist 16 staff members with their healthcare costs. A further PKR 600,000 has been sanctioned to support four employees with the marriage ceremonies of their children, according to the university information today. Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shahid Munir stated that the university considers its workforce a family and that their well-being remains one of the institution”s primary priorities. He also affirmed his dedication to sustaining these supportive initiatives in the future.

The Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff Associations lauded the move, expressing their gratitude to the Vice Chancellor. They commented that such measures significantly enhance staff morale and reinforce their sense of belonging to the university.

The associations further remarked that these welfare-oriented actions reflect the institution”s compassionate and employee-centric policies.
