The Pakistan Cricket Board has revealed the 15-player Pakistan Women’s A squad, with all-rounder Umm-e-Hani named captain for the forthcoming ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026, setting up a group stage encounter with rivals India ‘A’.

According to PCB information today, the eight-team, 20-over tournament is scheduled to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 13 to 22 February. Pakistan ‘A’ has been placed in Group A alongside India ‘A’, the United Arab Emirates, and Nepal. Group B consists of Bangladesh ‘A’, Sri Lanka ‘A’, Malaysia, and the host nation, Thailand. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals after completing three group-stage matches each.

Off-spinner Umm-e-Hani will lead the contingent, which also features experienced capped players including pacer Waheeda Akhtar and batter Shawaal Zulfiqar, who are expected to provide valuable support.

The squad also sees call-ups for promising young talent, including Pakistan Women’s U19 captain Eman Naseer and batter Komal Khan. Their selection follows strong performances in the recent 3-2 T20 series victory over Bangladesh Women’s U19.

The batting line-up is further strengthened by Gull Rukh, Hafsa Khalid, and Huraina Sajjad, while Yusra Amir is designated to handle wicket-keeping responsibilities for the tournament.

The team’s spin-bowling department features a four-pronged attack, including left-arm spinners Anosha Nasir and Momina Riasat, who join Hani and all-rounder Noreen Yaqoob. The pace attack will be spearheaded by the experienced Waheeda Akhtar, supported by Lubna Behram, Neha Sharmin Nadeem, and Syeda Masooma Jafri.

While Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka are participating with their ‘A’ teams, the tournament will feature the full national women’s sides from the UAE, Nepal, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The 15-member roster was finalised following a week-long probables camp for 30 players, which began on 25 January at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre. The selected squad will now participate in a pre-tournament camp at the same venue before departing for Thailand on 10 February.

Pakistan ‘A’ is scheduled to play all its group matches at the Terdthai Cricket Ground, commencing their campaign against Nepal on 13 February. They will face India ‘A’ on 15 February and conclude the group stage against the UAE on 17 February. The semi-finals are slated for 20 February, with the final to be held on 22 February.
