University Targets Enhanced Practical Skills With New Framework Review

In a significant move to address the standards of technical education, the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) today initiated a high-level review of its Skill Competency Test Framework, signalling a concentrated effort to bolster the practical abilities of its students.

The university”s Vice-Chancellor recently held a detailed consultation with senior members of the Faculty of Computing to deliberate on the critical matter.

Central to the meeting was the objective of reinforcing students” hands-on capabilities, ensuring that theoretical knowledge is effectively translated into real-world application.

The discussion also encompassed methods for enhancing existing assessment standards, aiming to create a more rigorous and accurate evaluation of student proficiency.
