Jammu, July 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the United Peace Alliance (UPA) organized an Eid Milan in Jammu toady which was attended by the representatives of more than two dozen socio-political organizations.
Senior APHC leader and UPA Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem, while interacting with the participants, said Hindutva forces are hell bent upon destroying the communal harmony in IIOJK. He said it was the responsibility of the every resident of the occupied territory to foil the nefarious designs of these communal forces. He said some right-wing political parties continue to promote enemy between the communities as it suits their political agenda.
Several participants who spoke on the occasion emphasized on the need of promoting communal harmony in IIOJK. They said “after abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A the political, democratic and property rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been snatched away and we need to fight a united battle to get back our rights.”
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included RK Kalsotra, Chairman STSC (Scheduled Tribes/ Scheduled Castes) and OBC (Other Backward Classes) Confederation; Narinder Singh Khalsa, Chairman Sikh Intellectual Circle; Advocate Waris Gill, Chairman JK Christian Association; Gitin Singh, Secretary Lok Manch; Amar Chand Bhagat, Chairman Lok Adhikar Mission; and Sukhdev Singh, Secretary Bhagat Singh Yadgaar Committee.
