US Dollar Holds Steady Above 280 Mark in Open Market

The US dollar demonstrated continued strength in the open market on Saturday, with its value holding firm above the significant 280 threshold against the local currency, according to figures released by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan.

The greenback was quoted for buying at 279.94 and for selling at 280.52. Other major Western currencies also recorded robust values, with the Euro and the pound sterling trading at elevated levels.

The European single currency was cited between 330.17 for buying and 333.06 for selling. Meanwhile, the British pound was valued at 377.63 for purchase and 380.95 for sale.

In other key currency dealings, the Japanese yen”s rates were 1.77 and 1.83 for buying and selling respectively.

The UAE dirham was traded between 76.38 and 77.02, while the Saudi riyal was exchanged at 74.76 for buying and 75.27 for selling.
