The Vice Chancellor of Shah Abdul Latif University on Tuesday advised newly admitted students at the start of the new academic session to consider themselves the “real owners” of the institution and benefit from its resources for career advancement and personal growth.
Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk personally welcomed the BS 2026 batch on the first day after the winter holidays and conducted a detailed tour of the university’s various faculties and departments to encourage the newly admitted students.
Addressing the students, Dr. Khushk emphasized that the university experience would provide new avenues for learning and significantly improve their communication skills. He said that the skills, knowledge, and practical experience gained here would prove crucial for securing a good job after graduation and for guidance in professional life.
The Vice Chancellor encouraged the incoming students to focus on continuous learning and personality building, and assured them that the teaching staff would play a vital role in polishing their talents and skills.
Dr. Khushk specifically recommended that students visit important sites on campus, such as the archaeological museum, to enhance their academic and social awareness.
The Vice Chancellor was accompanied by members of the administrative and teaching staff, including Professor Dr. Samina Rajpar, Professor Dr. Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Abro, Professor Dr. Abdullah Maitlo, Professor Dr. Riaz Ahmed Shaikh, Dr. Javed Ahmed Ujjan, Dr. Zahid Sahito, Dr. Firdous Bugti, Dr. Sahib Oad, Muhammad Hassan Halepoto, Waseem Kalhoro, Aijaz Mahar, Ayaz Mari, and others.
