Waseem takes oath as SPSC chairperson

KARACHI: Acting Governor Sindh Agha Siraj Durrani administered oath of office to Muhammad Waseem as Chairperson Sindh Public Service Public Commission (SPSC) in a simple ceremony held at the Governor House here on Saturday.

It is pertinent to mention here that after the approval of the acting governor of Sindh, the Chief Minister Sindh had appointed Muhammad Waseem, a retired officer of Grade 22, as the Chairperson SPSC. Secretary General Administration Muhammad Hanif Channa presided over the ceremony.

Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Jam Ikramullah Dharejo, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Waqar Mehdi, Chief Secretary Dr Muhammad Sohail Rajput, Commissioner Karachi Muhammad Iqbal Memon and provincial secretaries were also present on this occasion.

Mr Waseem has served in various important positions in the province for three decades. He has extensive experience in administration and Finance. Waseem has served as Chairman Planning and Development Board, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development, Chairman Anti-Corruption, Senior Member Board of Revenue, Secretary Home and Secretary General Administration. Acting Governor Sindh Agha Siraj Durrani congratulated Muhammad Waseem on becoming Chairperson SPSC and also expressed best wishes for his new assignment.
