LARKANA:Larkana region’s Badah police Wednesday claimed to have saved the life of a married woman,
According to the police, Akram Jaffery wanted to kill his wife Naziran Jaffery in the pretext of notorious allegation of Karo-Kari (honour killing), when she informed Badah police which swiftly took action, recovered her and shifted her to the Women and Child Protection Cell in Larkana.
She was produced before the IVth Judicial Magistrate court which sent her to Darul Aman. Badah police, however, have so far failed to arrest accused Akram Jaffery till filing of this report.
Meanwhile, unknown thieves stole a UPS and a battery from a mosque located in Amir Shah Muhalla within the limits of Waleed Police Station. Hafiz Muhammad Suleman Chandio, Pesh Imam of the mosque, told newsmen today that a report had been lodged but no recovery had so far been made for which he appealed to higher authorities to ensure it.
