Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Jam Ikramullah Dharejo has directed the officers to expedite work on Combined Effluent Treatment Plants so that waste materials of industries can be disposed of properly.
This he directed while presiding over a meeting here in his office today. The meeting was also attended by Secretary Industries and Commerce Muhammad Yasin Shar Baloch, MD SITE Ghazanfar Ali Qadri and other officers.
The meeting was informed that CETP in SITE Kotri was successfully operational while work was in progress on Combined Effluent Treatment Plants for SITE Sukkur, SITE Hyderabad, SITE Nooriabad, SITE Manghopir Karachi, KPT Industrial area, SITE Superhighway, Korangi Industrial Area and Landhi industrial Area.
Dharejo said that functioning of those Combined Effluent Treatment Plants would ensure safely disposal of industrial waste and protect the environment.
