QUETTA: All Balochistan Municipal Workers Association on Tuesday demanded of the authorities to ensure payment of salaries in respect of permanent, casual employees and pensioners on first date of each month, pay gratuity to the retired and heirs of deceased employees of QMC, ensure payment of charcoal and boat allowance to the Beldars, increase salaries of casual employees in accordance with the notification issued by the government of Balochistan.
These demands were made in the protest demonstration held in the premises of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation under the aegis of All Balochistan Municipal Workers here on Tuesday. Addressing the protest demonstration, speakers said that the authorities had turned a deaf ear to the genuine demands of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation despite the fact that employees of QMC had been on strike for the last many days.
Demanding the authorities to ensure payment of salaries in respect of permanent, casual employees and pensioners of QMC on first date of each month, pay gratuity to the retired and heirs of deceased employees, ensure payment of charcoal and boat allowance to the Beldars of QMC, increase salaries of casual employees in accordance with the notification issued by government of Balochistan, they said that if genuine demands of the employees of QMC were not entertained, strong protest movement would be launched. The protest demonstration was addressed by Muhammad Rahim Baloch, President, All Balochistan Municipal Workers Association, Nadeem Khokar, General Secretary and others.
