Islamabad, September 10, 2021 (PPI-OT):Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain says the world has hailed Pakistan’s role in evacuation of foreign nationals including journalists from Kabul. He was speaking on the occasion of MoU signing between Pakistan’s official news agency APP and Cuba’s news agency Presna Latina in Islamabad on Friday. The Minister said Pakistan has opened a humanitarian corridor to provide relief goods to the Afghan people.
The Information Minister assured the Afghan people that Pakistan stands fully behind them. He said the Afghan people cannot be abandoned during these difficult times. He said External Publicity Wing of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued 250 visas and 85 border crossing NOCs to foreign media.
As regards cooperation with Cuba, the Information Minister said there are immense opportunities of cooperation between the two countries. He said exchange of news between the news agencies of Pakistan and Cuba will help further strengthen ties between the two countries.
