Srinagar, February 22, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, and several Hurriyat leaders in Aabi Guzar area of Srinagar, today, when they tried to take out a protest march towards Lal Chowk.
A posse of Indian police reached the JKLF office at Aabi Guzar and detained Yasin Malik along with Showkat Bakhshi, Yasmeen Raja, Perveena Ahangar, Sheikh Abdur Rasheed, Umar Aadil Dar, Advocate Surat Shakeel, Javaid Ahmed Zargar, Mukhtar Ahmad Sofi, Muhammad Siddique Guru, Advocate Sheikh Yasir Ahmad, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Saleem Nannaji, Zahoor Ahmad Butt, Basharat Ahmad Butt, Imtiaz Ahmad Ganai, Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Rameez Ahmad Butt, Ashfaq Ahmad Khan, Sahil Ahmad War, Muhammad Siddique Hazara, Ali Muhammad Butt, Imtiaz Ahmad Dar, Ghulam Mohammad Dar, Rifat Dar and others who tried to take out a rally towards Lal Chowk against the rape and murder of Kathua minor Asifa Bano.
Earlier, Muhammad Yasin Malik addressing a press conference at his Aabi Guzar office extended his support to the Jammu Muslims in their demand for justice to the Kathua minor girl. The Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, while condemning his house arrest to bar him from JRL’s joint presser at Aabi Guzar, said that nothing could be more evil and shameless than supporting the rapists and murderers of an eight-year-old girl. He said this in response to a rally taken out by extremist Hindu organizations in Kathua to demand the release of a Special Police Officer involved in the rape and murder of Aasifa Bano.
