Young doctors in Sindh protest, wear black armbands

Hyderabad:On appeal of Joint Action Committee, a united platform of Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Sindh and Young Doctors Association Sindh, doctors in different cities and towns performed duties by wearing black armbands, to protest unavailability of personal protective equipment (PPE) to healthcare professionals.

Earlier, the protesting doctors were reluctant to perform duties in wards of coronavirus patients, but they were assured by authorities that within the next two days all doctors in Sindh would get PPEs.

Talking to the media, JAC leaders said they have been protesting for the last seven days but the Sindh government, as yet, has turned the deaf ear to their demands.
