KHANPUR MAHAR: A youth was shot dead over a notorious tradition of Karo-Kari in village Raees Bozdar near Khanpur Mahar on Sunday.

According to deceased’s father, accused Mahrab Bozdar and Nawab Bozdar opened fire on his 22-year-old son Sher Muhammad Bozdar in village Raees Bozdar when he was on a water rotation, resultantly, he died on the spot.

The body was shifted to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to the heirs. No arrest could be made till filing this report. The police have started a probe into the incident. A tense situation and a mourning atmosphere prevailed in the village due to the ghastly incident.

He said that his son was killed over the pretext of Karo-Kari rite, which was a fake allegation. He said that his son was an innocent, but brutal people killed him ruthlessly. He demanded of IGP Sindh and Sindh Chief Minister to take notice of the incident and arrest the accused besides awarding them exemplary punishment and providing him justice as soon as possible.
