PESHAWAR: Pakistan on Friday reported 48 more deaths due to Covid and 6,377 new pandemic cases while the number of confirmed positive cases surged to 1,448,640 and the countrywide death toll from the deadly viral disease rose to 29,420 so far.
According to the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), so far, 547,920 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 485,810 in Punjab, 199,195 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 130,373 in Islamabad, 39,894 in Azad Kashmir, 34,634 in Balochistan and 10,837 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 25,258,723 coronavirus tests and 64,121 in the last 24 hours. 1,317,385 patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,618 patients are in critical condition. The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 9.95 percent. So far, 107,277,517 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine including 949,226 in last 24 hours. 83,946,354 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 671,271 received their second dose in last 24 hours.
